What should I do when my dog has a torn paw pad?

My dog Aidah, is a 1.5 year old lab collie mix. Her front and back right side paws have a tear on them. There is new soft and moist skin underneath, but she is limping. What should I do? Does she need to go to the vet?

Thanks for your question and so sorry for the delay!!

Paw pad injuries are fairly common and more often than not, they just require a few days of activity restriction and occasionally pain medication from your veterinarian to bridge the gap for the time it takes the area to heal! So if she's limping I would take her in to have her checked out and to see if she might benefit from a few days of pain medication!
