Remember potty training to completion takes time and I always recommend crate training until at least a year and sometimes beyond. Always use positive reinforcement to help reward your puppy when he or she goes potty where you like. Also try and pay attention to any signs or cues that the puppy exhibits prior to pooping so that you can anticipate his or her need to poop and can get outside with the puppy so he or she is pooping in the right area. If you’re inside and cannot watch your puppy crate him or her so there is less opportunity for accidents!
