Hyperactive dog - For Pets Sake

I have a 3year old dashhound. She has been spayed. She barks every time one of us goes outside, and the whole time company is here. I have tried the natural calming for dog’s, and the vet put her on trazadon. Nothing calms her down. I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Thanks for taking the time to ask a question! Dachshunds are dogs that often have high levels of energy and so ensuring that they have way to expend their energy is important as well as making sure she understands her role in your life. As such, I would definitely recommend looking into a structured training program for her to help teach both of you how to better interact with and understand each other.
