How to get rid of bad breath

Our dog has the worst breath. It appears that a couple of her back teeth really need cleaning but it’s expensive and the vet says she has to be put to sleep for the procedure. Any alternatives?

Unfortunately, there really aren't any great alternatives if the mouth is as affected as it sounds. There are veterinarians who offer anesthesia free dentistry but this is HIGHLY controversial and not something I recommend. Routine dental cleanings under general anesthesia are the best thing for your pet and her breath so get that cleaning ASAP and continue annually thereafter!
