Why is my cat peeing on my bed?

My cat peed on my bed last week, I took her to the vet and they said she had bacteria in her urine. They have her a 2-week shot. I kept the door closed so she wouldn’t go in my room. The first night I opened the door back up, she peed on the exact same spot on the bed. Was she just mad that I kept the door closed? Did she still smell it on there through all the cleaning products and didn’t realize it was her own pee?

There are many reasons that cats (and dogs) might urinate in inappropriate places. Some of these reasons are behavioral and other require medical attention. Before we determine that the cause is behavioral, it is important to rule out medical causes like urinary tract infections. As such, I would schedule an appointment with your vet to discuss medical causes and the best course of actions for your kitty.
