Dry and itchy skin and hot spots

My dog, silky terrier, has dry skin, hot spots and itchy skin. He had grooming, they bathed him with oatmeal Shampoo, also, I give it to him, Benadryl, half, but, nothing is working. What can I do?

I would schedule and appointment with your vet to discuss better options for controlling your pups itching! There is little research to support the efficacy of Benadryl for scratching in dogs and your vet will have better, more effective options! Always make sure that your pup is on flea prevention to ensure the these pesky critters are the cause of the problem!
