Dog anxiety

My little dog a chi wa wa mix is the most loving dog I have ever had and seen and others notice it. When I’m gone for awhile and come back home she howls so loud I can hear her through the walls when I pull up in the drive. She jumps wildly yelping to see me. I hope it don’t effect her health. Please comment. Is there anything I can do to help her.

First, I would want to know what's she's doing while you are gone for a while- is she whining and crying when you leave initially and does she settle down after a short period of time and relax for the duration of time that you are gone? If you are able I would try setting up a camera so we can first see how she behaves when you are gone. If she's cool and calm while you are away and gets excited when she sees you are returning, I think that's OKAY! I would be more concerned if she spends the duration of the time you are away in a stressed out state. Hope that makes sense, and don't hesitate to let me know how she behaves while you are gone!
